For your domain name, we recommend that you do what we do... Keep your web hosting and domain registration as seperate processes. There are a limited number of true ICANN approved registrars. Everyone else just resells these main registrars services, adding a layer between you and your domain name. Often there aren't any problems... but when there is is when with whom you're dealing surfaces. Dealing directly with the main registrars removes this problem altogether. We can recommend and have had great success with both godaddy.com and networksolutions.com.
Now that you have a domain name, you'll want to point that sucker right at us. How you "connect" your domain name with our hosting services is to set your domain names "Name Servers" to ns.tucktuck.com (primary) and ns2.tucktuck.com (secondary). That's it, we take it from there. (For those that want to know, tucktuck is the company dogs name and is the domain that hosts all our core DNS infrastructure). |
